Bob and Micah
Micah turned 21 in January, senior in college with spring break in March, and his dad gets to do something he has always wanted to do. Take Micah to Las Vegas for his first time after turning 21. (on his 21st birthday some of the family took him to the local casino)
They were able to get a time sharing right off the strip at the Hilton Grand Vacations Club at the Flamingo Hilton. In walking distance of most everything. But a car rental was necessary. Along with playing live poker, seeing the Strip, going downtown to Freemont Street, they also headed to Red Rock Canyon, Lake Mead and Hoover Dam. Unfortunately, all the photos were taken with Bob's cell phone that later broke and everything was lost. Good news, there was a professional photographer taking photos at Hoover Dam that there purchased and below is that photo.
Another highlight of the trip was also driving to Grand Canyon . They walked out on the glass platform that overlooks the canyon but you had to pay a additional fee to be able to take your camera with you. Since they had already paid an entrance fee to go onto the Indian Reservation and paid to be able to walk out on the glass platform, paying to take a picture didn't seem worth it. It was already very expensive. So the cameras and cellphones were taken from them and they went without them.
Years ago, this duo took a long roadtrip to the East Coast where they visited stadiums, Harvard College, Niagara Falls, Coopertown, Arlington Cemetery among many other places. So this trip was well overdue. Sorry that there is only one photo to share but know that it was a trip they will treasure forever.
